Discover NASA with CTSGC

Join NASA CT Space Grant as we explore space and related topics with NASA professionals. Monthly virtual sessions will feature a speaker from NASA, moderated by a member of the CT Space Grant Consortium.

  • You must use your college/university email to register
  • Registrations for each session will end the day prior to each session (i.e. 10/17 is the last day to register for the 10/18 session, etc.).
  • The participation link will be sent to registrants on before the session via the email provided at registration.

Dr. Erin Reed is a Mission Manager in the Balloon Program Office at NASA Wallops Flight Facility. As a mission manager, she helps science teams understand and meet NASA requirements for flight on a balloon, from locations around the world. Before joining the Balloon Program Office, Dr. Reed worked at Glenn Research Center’s Armstrong Test Facility as a thermal vacuum engineer for the world’s largest vacuum chamber and a detail at Langley Research Center’s Office of STEM Engagement, working with minority serving institutions. Erin has a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University and a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, spending time with family and friends, hiking, and reading all the books.
