Brief Project/Internship Description: CCAT seeks a student intern majoring in computer engineering/science or a related technical field to assist in planning, executing, and analyzing cybersecurity test cases for manufacturing. The student will work with CCAT’s team and industry to identify potential information security weaknesses within a manufacturing environment. The student will help devise cybersecurity “hacking” tests and utilize the Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) to conduct tests, analyze results, and recommend what actions and tools (hardware and/or software) may help prevent successful cyber breaches.
Required Qualifications: Anticipated full-time student during 2018 Spring semester enrolled in an academic affiliate college/university with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. U.S. citizenship is required. Pursuing a BS/BA in one of the following content areas: computer science, computer engineering, engineering, manufacturing technologies, science.
Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of computer networking systems and knowledge in cyber security.

Student STEM and Manufacturing Summer Institutes

Brief Project/Internship Description: CCAT seeks Education & Workforce Development student interns to assist in the planning and delivery of comprehensive, experiential STEM and workforce development/career awareness programming for students in grades 4 through 10, with a focus on manufacturing, engineering, sustainable energy, and/or aerospace-related curricular areas. Interns will be responsible for program coordination, administration and logistics, as well as working directly with students in both formal and informal classroom settings implementing contextual hands-on activities and workshops.
Required Qualifications: Anticipated full-time student during 2018 Spring semester enrolled in an academic affiliate college/university with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. U.S. citizenship is required. Candidates will be pursuing a BS/BA in either one of the following content areas: engineering, manufacturing technologies, science, and computer programming; or a STEM-related teaching degree (middle school or high school teacher preparation program).
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with CAD/CAM software platforms, 3D printing, and/or robotics a plus. Excellent computer, organizational, and communication skills and an interest in promoting STEM engagement and manufacturing/engineering career awareness.
Desired Number of Interns: 1 for spring; up to 3 for summer
