This year, Wesleyan University’s Van Vleck Observatory celebrates its centennial! In recognition of over 100 years of astronomy, Dr. David Devorkin (Senior Curator, Division of Space History, National Air & Space Museum) will be giving a lecture on the American Observatory Movement and Van Vleck’s role within it. The lecture will take place on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. In addition, an exhibition documenting 100 years of astronomy at Van Vleck Observatory will open in the observatory library on May 6, 2016.
