On Monday, June 7th one of the kits assembled by a team from University of Hartford in early May was chosen by the Colorado Space Grant Consortium to fly on a rocket flight scheduled to launch on June 24.

The team of 5 students and one faculty from UHart spent a week in May learning how to build their own RocketSat payload as part of the workshop.  The virtual RockOn! 2021 workshop allowed students to gain hands-on experience with constructing several electronic boards and components to be flown in launch conditions, as well as programing and coding skills to apply to the project and retrieve real-time data.

Congratulations to the team, and we hope to be able to watch the launch virtually!
