This year, NASA has announced September 26th as International Observe the Moon Night 2020. This is a time to come together with fellow Moon enthusiasts and curious people worldwide. Everyone on Earth is invited to take part in celestial observations and honor cultural and personal connections to the moon.
NASA Connecticut Space Grant Consortium (CTSGC) is sponsoring a photo contest for this event. Participants may submit photos taken during this event to social media (Instagram, Facebook and/or Twitter) using #ObserveTheMoon and #CTObserveTheMoon. Photos may be for anything that is related to the Moon, Moon observation, or culturally significant activities related to the Moon.
The winner of the Observe the Moon Night Photo Contest will receive up to $300 in prize money!!!
This will be a great opportunity to promote learning of nature, science and culture for K-12 education and in the local community and we are looking forward to seeing your photo of this exciting celestial celebration!
