On Friday, November 7, 2025, over 180 attendees convened at the New England Air Museum for the 2025 NASA CT Space Grant Annual Grants Expo. This annual event celebrates award recipients from the previous year and invites students, faculty, other guests and companies who would like to learn more about NASA CT Space Grant to attend. Recent student and faculty awardees are asked to present their posters and use this opportunity to meet with professors, panelists and others during the expo. Grant awardees will receive award certificates.
This year’s panelists were members from the University of Hartford’s Multiscale Metamaterial Research Laboratory. CTSGC has enabled these students to turn classroom learning into hands-on research that directly supports NASA’s mission. Through the Multiscale Metamaterial Research Laboratory, they design and fabricate advanced metamaterial devices for space communication and imaging, gaining skills in experimental physics, additive manufacturing, and computational modeling. These experiences not only advance cutting-edge research but also cultivate the technical and professional competencies essential to NASA’s future workforce.
