Summer 2018 NASA CTSGC Sponsored Internship Opportunities

Overview

NASA CTSGC in collaboration with several Connecticut-based industries and organizations has identified numerous full-time summer internship opportunities for student applicants. Internships span several areas in STEM-related and informal education organizations. Eligible students should indicate specific projects of interest. Applicants must apply by the application deadline of December 1st. Students are required to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks at their internship site. Applicants must be an anticipated full-time student in an affiliated academic institution during the Spring 2018 term and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Interns receive a minimum total compensation of $6,000.

Technical, Industrial, and Educational Internships

Technical Internship: Priority given to community college students enrolled in an Associate’s degree or Certificate program at an affiliated academic institution are eligible to apply. If space is available internships may be offered to 4-year institution or graduate students.

Industrial Internship: Undergraduate/Graduate students enrolled at an affiliated academic institution are eligible to apply.

Educational Internship: Undergraduate/Graduate students enrolled at an affiliated academic institution are eligible to apply.

Application Procedures

To apply for a Technical, Industrial, or Educational Internship you should complete the following:

  1. Industrial and Education, and Technical Internships Application Cover Sheet
  2. Narrative (refer to Student Programs Request for Proposals for more information)
  3. Resume/Curriculum Vitae
  4. One letter of recommendation
  5. Student transcript (must indicate anticipated full-time enrollment status (Spring 2018) and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0)
  6. Grant Verification Form
  7. Applicant Contact and Demographic
